Live Eurorack Improvisations Week of October 5th, 2020

Here are a few videos for the week of October 5th, 2020. Enjoy!

This is a live Eurorack improvisation using a Frap Tools Sapel to drive the clocks, with a Stillson Hammer quantizing the pitches. Lots and lots of random voltages from both the Sapel and the Wogglebug. The oscillator is an Instruo CS-L and a Morphagene. Drums are coming from the DFAM. Bubblesound SeM20 and Make Noise QPAS are the filters. The Sapel is driving the pitches and rhythm using random voltages.

I’m still working on converting my film scoring eurorack setup into more of a live instrument. This live electronic music improvisation uses Frap Tools Sapél to drive the clocks and create randomness. Notes are coming from Make Noise René and gates are coming from the Stillson Hammer. I’m using two channels of Maths to create the “chopper” arpeggio, one into the linear FM input on the CS-L. The other channel of the CS-L is providing the bass, alongside an AJH synth Mini Mod VCO. Percussion sounds are from the Basimilus Iteritas Alter. Modulation provided by Maths, Wogglebug, and Sapél, with the 4ms Tapographic Delay providing some ambience and mayhem.
