Below are my live eurorack explorations for the week of November 2nd, 2020. I took my start from Todd Barton’s Buchla Bongo video. In this eurorack modular synth jam, I started with a Eurorack version of the Buchla bongos using an Instruo CS-L and a Serge NTO going through an Optomix. Both oscillators have their […]
Below are my live electronic explorations during the week of October 26th, 2020 This live electronic Eurorack/modular synth jam was made using two channels of Instruo into an Optomix, and then double gating Optomix using 4 LFOs from two Maths modules. The result was complex rhythms and even some AM happening. Pressure CV to notes […]
Below are my live eurorack explorations for the week of October 19th, 2020. Enjoy! This is a live eurorack/modular synth jam I put together using one of the free reels Make Noise released for Morphagene the other day. I played a bass pedal note on the Moog Grandmother and chords on the Sequential OB-6, with […]
Below are all my live improvisational explorations for the week of October 12th, 2020. Enjoy! This is more of my process of using my film scoring rack to improvise live. Notes and gates are coming from the Stillson Hammer and Rene into a 4ms Tapographic Delay. I added the OB-6 to play chords, because sometimes […]
This piece was inspired by the video game music for Dead Space. It contains ambient and futuristic elements for a dystopian sci-fi game I’m currently working on. I combined analog synths with artificial intelligence patches using Reaktor from Native Instruments.
Day 20 of #21daysofvgm I started to write a piece using the first five notes of the minor scale, but it was so much more interesting to take the bass and melody voice and break them up into ambience.
Day 19 of #21daysofvgm I chose to do the trinity quest from Video Game Music Academy, where you have only three notes you can use for the melody, and interest has to be generated from harmony and texture.
Day 17 of #21daysofvgm This has been a rough summer for the NYC subway: delays, no air conditioning, massive overcrowding sometimes. In the morning, I recorded the trains and then turned the samples into an ambient horror piece to show my feelings. 😀
Day 15 of #21daysofvgm What do you do after the end of the world? If games are to be trusted, you go looking for guns and ammo and try to save the world… er, what’s left of it.
